A Fisherman's Favorite

Eastern’s 248 Tournament is a hardcore fishing vessel designed to please even the most demanding anglers. It is ruggedly built to handle challenging conditions, has a comfortable design with plenty of amenities, and it has the fishing features to ensure anglers are equipped to battle the toughest ocean beasts.

MaineBoats.com praised the Eastern 248 Tournament, calling it “a no-holds-barred sportfishing tool.” They loved this boat’s tackle station, L-shaped settee, rocket-launcher rod holders atop the cabin, and how Eastern made the Armstrong bracket standard on the 248 Tournament to maximize cockpit space.

The hull of the Eastern 248 Tournament features an attractive Downeast sheerline, integrated lifting strakes and a partial keel to enhance low-speed handling. The comfortable cabin has a V-berth, a head and a hanging locker. The roomy pilothouse is an L-shape lounge, the back of which forms a multi-drawer tackle center with a cutting board and sink.

Other fishing features include a 30-gallon transom livewell, four gunwale holders in addition to the six-rod rocket-launcher on the cabin, and a pump-out fish box in the cockpit. An optional transom door allows access to battle fish around the Armstrong bracket and engine when needed.
